Editorial Spread

Here is an editorial spread that I designed for the Society of Publication Designers Student Competition. I entered under the fashion magazine category and choose to represent a trend's comeback. In this design I chose bandanas and represented them in a playful manner. I worked with a photographer, Madison Stringfellow and had a model help me with the photoshoot while I styled and art directed it. Here is a feature that I designed and was published in Vox Magazine:

For this feature I worked with the writer, the editor and the photographer to capture the tattoo artist's essence in a magazine spread. I did the entire layout of the feature as well as the additional illustrations. The photographer and I went to photograph the artist multiple times and I used many sketches from the artist to make vector images which I used throughout the feature as well as an online mural.
